Thank you for your interest in the Grass Valley Farmer’s Market!
If you are interested in becoming a new vendor for any of our weekly markets, please submit an application.
MARKET TIMES 2021
Vendor Memberships are $80 per year to be paid upon submittal of the Vendor Application.
For the morning markets on Saturday and Tuesday, stall fees are paid on a per market basis on the same day that each vendor attends. If we are permitted to participate in the “Thursday Night Market” this year, more information will be available in the summer.
Vendor stall fees are $35.00 per 10×10 booth per market for certified producers. Some vendors may have the option of parking their vehicle near their stall, some may not. Vendor stall fees for artisans and specialty food vendors are $30.
- We are a historic local market established in 1980. Many of our vendors have been participating for multiple decades and have a loyal following of local clientele. Being a ‘Certified’ Farmers’ Market means we are regulated by the California Dept. or Food and Agriculture. As such, any vendor selling fresh produce must provide a copy of their “Certified Producers Certificate” or “CPC”.
- We process Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) payments with Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT), and we can help our producers get certified to accept payments from the Women, Infant & Children (WIC) assistance program and Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP). Let me know if you are interested in becoming certified to accept these alternative forms of payment.
- We consistently advertise the markets and promote on social media. We may feature your booth in one of our posts!
All vendors are required to carry insurance. If you have a commercial vehicle and/or general liability insurance, please have your provider add ‘Grass Valley Farmers Market’ on your policy as an “additional insured”. Please also submit current proof of your automobile insurance for every vehicle that you will be using at the Market.
Please submit your proposed dates of attendance in your application. If you plan to attend a market and cannot, vendors must notify the market manager 24 hours in advance. If vendors do not notify the manager of an absence, they will be charged for their unused space at the following market.
SET UP & BREAK DOWN
Vendors are expected to be set up and be ready for customers by the start time of all the markets. Vendors must also keep their booths set up until the close of each market. This means that if you have sold out or if you are having a slow day you can condense your booth but still make yourself approachable and welcoming to all customers throughout the entirety of the market hours.
